I have installed the afterpay plugin and was going through filling up the merchant ID and secret key, however when hitting save this shows up.

Afterpay API Error #500: The Afterpay Gateway for WooCommerce plugin cannot communicate with the Afterpay API. Error code(s) returned: “http_request_failed”.

    Hi @looneylui,

    Thanks for your message.

This error usually indicates that the web host has restricted the use of the parse_ini_file PHP function. The plugin’s dependency on the use of this function is scheduled to be removed in the next release. In the meantime, please consider contacting the web hosting provider and request for this function to be removed from the “disable_functions” list.

If further support is required, please feel free to create a ticket via the Afterpay Help Centre here:

A team member will then reach out to you within 1 business day.

    Thank you.
