I’ve used WordPress and comicpress for my website without any troubles for the past year or so. Tonight, I logged on to update and add another post. I found it strange that I couldn’t access most pages of my site, and assumed that the prompt asking me to update WordPress had something to do with my issues. I updated, but when I navigate to any administrative page, I get this error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: cpm_wpmu_modify_path() in /home/content/t/h/e/thechikinguy/html/wp-content/plugins/comicpress-manager/comicpress_manager_library.php on line 90

anyone know what the issue is and how I can get my website back?

  • When you updated – did you use the auto-update of WP install? Have you tried uploading WP 2.8.4 via FTP instead? What happens when you deactivate comicpress manager, is the admin working well? Have you updated your comicpress manager to latest version for compatibility with WP 2.8.4 version?

Ok, I went in to my FTP, got rid of the comic press files, then the wordpress files, uploaded the most recent wordpress, reloaded comicpress, and I’ve finally gotten rid of the error message! Thanks mercime!

BUT now I’m having a stranger problem where my old posts won’t load. If you’ll see the site for yourselves: http://www.chikinguy.com , my most recent post shows up, but if you click any of the archived links on the right, they don’t load. It’s the strangest thing. Anyone have any idea how this could be?

This resolved with newer updates of the ComicPress Manager plugin.

If you are using WPMU / Multisite make sure you have the wpmu mu-plugins put in the appropriate mu-plugins folder.
