Resources being loaded unnecessarily.
-
I am doing a performance test on the wordpress panel to see which plugins weigh the most and interfere with the panel performance.
ACF is generally “light” compared to the amount of features it offers. But one detail caught my eye and I just want to know if there is any reason for that.
On the media page there is no ACF functionality being used yet ACF executes 37 additional requests, adding 1.4mb of extra resources for loading.
The default media page is 20 requests, with a total of 1.2mb resources loaded.
I have not looked at all the pages, but I believe that the ideal is to load any resource only when it is actually being used.
Is there any fair reason for the page to weigh twice with ACF active?
On a powerful server this does not interfere much, but my clients use simple servers (512mb RAM, 1Ghz CPU, 15GB ssd, dedicated cloud).
I checked this for the option to inspect google chrome element. In the network tab.
Thanks.
