Listing repeating events only once

    We have events that occur every Saturday & Sunday. There are some instances where I don’t want the event to be listed more than once. Is there an existing way to do this using the shortcodes? I thought that clicking on ‘display repeating events only’ would work but that displays nothing.

    Equally, if I have a repeating event, and want to list past listings, I don’t want events that haven’t finished to show up.

    I don’t think that you need screenshots.

    This is really easy to duplicate.

    Create an event that occurs every Saturday, say it’s a weekly meeting at a church that happens every Saturday.

    The event displays for each Saturday which is fine in most instances, for example, on the calendar, but not for all instances. There are times when we want to display the event ONLY ONCE to show that the event is occurring every Saturday.

    This is a problem with just about every event plugin that I have tested, not just ME Events. I have written my own code to handle this with other plugins. If you have existing code that does this, that would be great.
