Hmm, can you confirm the watermarks are correctly set up in the plugin settings?
Pixelated image – you refer to the big image you watermark or the small watermark image?
The issue with refreshing the page – that’s definitely a caching issue (or you restored the image meanwhile)

Thanks for getting back to me. I have all images sizes selected for the watermark to apply to, so the pixelation issue shouldn’t be because of the image size.
I updated the plugin with your latest update and the pixelation is still happening. I watermark the image and the image changes to be pixelated with the watermark correctly placed. When I refresh the media library page, the watermark is gone and the image is back to normal. I have cleared my cache and that doesn’t seem to be the problem. I also did not click to restore the image. One image I tried, it did not pixelate, but when I refreshed the media library the watermark was gone.
I appreciate all your help on this. It is a really great plugin and was working really well for my client. Just happens to not be working anymore and would love to work with you to get this resolved!

I think we have figured out what images the pixelation is happening on. We have tested it on a few images of different types and sizes and we have found that the pixelation happens on jpeg images. The watermark works when applying it to png images, but not jpeg. Are you able to confirm this and help us resolve this issue?
We have tested the plugin on PHP versions 7.2 – 7.4.

The company I work for is willing to pay you to help us get this bug fixed. We use this plugin on multiple sites for one of our clients and we need this fixed. We have not found a watermark plugin that works as great as yours. Just need your assistance on getting this fixed.

Hi Kristen, the only two things which come to my mind why it’s not working is:
– the JPEG quality is set to very low in either EW plugin settings or other plugins. YOu could try to set 90 or 100 in EW settings to override it. See: https://www.dropbox.com/s/y8wairn2tpc5ef6/chrome_pA8kDIiXhI.png?dl=0
– the GD library on your server is in the old version, I strongly recommend updating it to the latest and rebuild PHP you are using.
