I’m trying to set up Paypal sandbox testing with WooCommerce, and I’m getting a javascript alert which says simply ‘hook ran but no ID available’.

I can’t find any documentation about this error message, so I can’t tell where to look in my WooCommerce settings to put it right.

I’ve got logging turned on, but there’s no log made each time I click the Buy Now button, just the alert message. You can see for yourself if you try clicking Buy Now at that page.

Is anyone out there familiar with this error and can help me put it right?
    Thanks

  • I can’t find the message text in WooCommerce or Astra theme source. That could mean I’ve not looked hard enough, but can we be sure its coming from WooCommerce? Try deactivating all other plugins and switch to the default theme. Do you still get the message?

Thank you Lorro – yes. Deactivating Astra and activating 2019 theme took me to the basket instead of throwing the alert. The basket had numerous of the same product already added from my previous attempts.

I have since run a successful transaction through the sandbox account, so WooCommerce and Paypal are doing it all fine. Now I just need to find out what in Astra is causing that alert, and preventing the user going to the basket. Hmmm!

I will pick it up with Astra therefore.
    Thanks for your help.

I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Kind regards,
