• So, i recently moved to a VPS from my old host. But now, my links have /index.php/contact, /index.php/archives etc.

They used to be just /contact, /archives etc.

Any idea what the problem is and how it can be fixed? thank you.

I don’t have a htaccess page, my permalink structure is /index.php/%monthnum%/%postname%/

if you want to use permalink, you need to create a .htaccess file in your root folder and assign 755 or 777 permissions to this file.

is permalinks the problem I have?

“Hello. I am having a few problems with navigation on my site, I’ve had it up a while but only just noticed the problem. Once on a page I can’t seem to press the “back” button, also if you click ‘videos’ then click ‘page 2’ the link doesn’t work unless you edit the URL.

Can someone please tell me where I’m going wrong?

    Here is the link: http://www.joestaleymedia.co.nr/”

Sorry to interject but if it is the problem what is a htaccess file?
