ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS when Plugin ist activated

    Hi together,
    I have a big problem with wp security activated on my page. I’m using ist on 12 other websites without problems and till yesterday evening it worked even fine on this Site. This morning I couldn’t login anymore. Too many redirects ….
    Now I really did everything possible I know to make my site work again. I deactivated wp security via FTP and uploaded a new .htaccess – the moment I reactivated it again = same error message. I deleted it, uploaded a new .htaccess – installed it again: Login-page was shown, I tried to login “Wrong login credentials”, I tried it again: too many redirects. Then I deleted all plugins I ever had problems in combination with WP Security, deleted WP Security, reinstalled a virgin .htaccess, installed WP Security = Loginpage was shown => Login was rejected 0> too many redirects.

    I’m really very desperated ! I will be very thankfull for help.

    The website for the moment shows a coming-soon page.

    Hi,

    I don’t know, if the server was updated. Could this cause such a problem ?

    What I can say is, that I found – searcing further on google – a plugin “All In One WP Security Reset Settings”. I installed this Plugin and now everything works. But the plugin doesn’t let me click on “settings” I should not be allowed to access the page.
    For the moment, the “security reset settings”-plugin is deactivated again. Everything seems to work, like ist should. I’m curious wether it will work further on.

    Yes, sometimes depending on what is updated in the server it can cause this issue.

    Everything seems to work, like ist should.

    I am glad your issue is resolved.
