• Hi there,

We have our site developed in WordPress 2.7. We can upload pictures using ‘admin’ and another author named ‘sample’ but when new people join my site (under author) they can’t upload pictures? Like I said ‘admin’ can and ‘sample’ I created a month ago (as an author can upload) but, anyone that I sign-up now can’t seem to upload the pictures. The Media upload files seems to work fine, until I press ‘insert gallery’ – it keeps on saying ‘saving draft’ but nothing happens. When I click ‘publish’ I can see the post but no pictures. This is not the case with ‘admin’ and ‘sample’ please advise. Thank you.

  • Hi,

    Check with these options:

-> Disable all the plugins and enable it one by one to find out the culprit
-> upgrade your wordpress to the latest version 2.8.4
-> make sure that you have set proper path to upload directory in wordpress admin area.
-> Assign 766 recursive permissions to wp-contents folder.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

Are you using plugins such as ‘capability manager’, ‘role scoper’ or equivilant?

    hi shane,

i think you might be the man to help me. I did the first 3 steps you suggested. How do i do the final one? Assign 766 recursive permisions to wp-contents folder.

If you can explain that to me i think it would be of great help.

    thanks
