    Not important one but…

Have tried to use png8 with “full range” alpha channel and alpha being replaced to black color.

    Working great with png24

Sorry, this is a known issue 🙁 it’s the limitation of GD library which you have installed on your server.

But the good news is that we are working on PRO version which will process the image in the cloud on our side – this means full support for opacity, custom forms from Google Fonts and no resource usage on the WordPress end.

@kubitomakita I thought it was a GD problem.

Good luck with your idea. It seems to me like you are planing to build more image optimization service that allow to put watermarks too? I’m a big fan of shortpixel and really believe in such a software and love that you could use it on any shared hosting as no additional power needed. That model definitely could work to watermarks too, but it’s not so wide needed imho wo optimization/resizing or other kinds of preprocessing.

Yeah, we certainly plan to do something like Shortpixel, but more focused on image manipulation than the optimization. But! We probably will optimize the images too.

The idea is to take the heavy lifting of image processing and provide more stable service (like now you can see a dozen of support tickets which is an effect of client’s server config 🙁 )

Also, we plan to create a better visual watermarking (drag, resize, rotate, move etc.) and support for multiple watermarks per image.

    Keep your fingers crossed! 🙂
