    Before I update: Is the total rewrite backwards compatible with the old plugin? Or do I need to redo all settings?

    It’s backwards compatible but it’s always advise to update in a safe environment like staging.

    You could also hold off a couple of days to see if there are some issues. We’ll be patching the bugs immediately.
