Strange issue with blog category

Hi,
I use WPML to make my site both English and Spanish. However, I’ve just had a strange issue with a blog post I created in English being assigned a category in Spanish. English is the main language for my site. As I have always done, I created the post in English first, selected the relevant categories (in this case “Free Printables” and “All printables”, then used WPML to add the translation of the post in Spanish. However for some reason the English post has also been assigned the category “Imprimibles gratis” (the Spanish equivalent of “free printables”). I have no idea how, as it’s not even an option within the “edit post” window! It’s causing problems, as I use category views to display my posts in each language and now the English post is appearing on my Spanish site. I can’t deselect the Spanish category, because it doesn’t appear in the WordPress menu on the English post, so I’m at a loss as to how to solve the problem. Help, please! Thanks!
