When entering data rows into a Tablepress table the width of the text input fields is narrow. Although the inputs are resizeable the edit page does not persist those widths which means I have to resize them every time I want to edit my table data.

Can you add the ability to save the widths on a table by table basis so that we can add a new row and not have to resize the inputs?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

For this, you could try the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/input-field-size/ . It can be used to globally change the input field size.

    Hi Tobias,

Thanks for coming back so quickly. The input-field-size extension does indeed help the situation.

Can I add a feature request? It would be great if we could save column widths on a per table basis. Being able to drag the columns to the required width for each table and having those widths stored would be ideal as some tables require wider column widths than others.

    Hi Rob,

good to hear that this helped!

And thanks for the suggestion! I’ll add it to the list of ideas! Maybe I can find a good way to store these settings.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
