you’re using the “audio-only player” which is kind of a hack which is certainly not supported by YouTube itself. is there also a problem with a normal LYTE video embed?

No, just the audio only hack, but that’s our primary reason for using the plug-in 🙂

Interestingly, the desktop version of our same theme works as expected. Any ideas?

problem is that audio-only doesn’t work on mobile due to a combination of autoplay not working there (which is why on mobile the real YT vid loads) and of the GUI being invisible when playing starts. afraid there are no fixes to be expected and audio-only will remain the hack it currently is, sorry.

what you could try is tick the “cache thumbnails locally” which will force LYTE also in mobile, but the UX isn’t great (due to no autoplay and YT GUI limitations).

Hmm, that’s strange, as “viewing this page in desktop mode” does allow the plugin to load the audio-only version correctly. That leads me to believe that it wasn’t a lack of something in mobile browsers that causing this, but rather something in the mobile theme itself. Perhaps I’m just missing something?

and what happens in non-desktop view if you have the “cache thumnails locally” is active?
