I’m using Relevanssi to try and get better search results that include ampersands (&). I have a specific test query m&m which is not generating expected results. I have set the advanced search indexing settings to keep ampersands and have reindexed but the results are the same, all other options are default. The term m&m is in a title of a Post that is definitely being indexed so I know it’s not an indexing issue. Are there any recommendations on what adjustments I could make to get better search results for this query?

    Thanks

It should just work; I just tested this specific case on my test site, and the post was found. Try searching for “m&m” in the admin search (Dashboard > Admin search). Can you find the post there? If you can access the database, you can check the post in the wp_relevanssi database table to see how Relevanssi sees the post.

Hi Mikko. You’re absolutely right, the plugin is working correctly. I didn’t know about the admin search function, but just tested it and the results are correct.

The problem is with the front-end search template not being setup right.

    Thanks for your help,
    Alex
