• Hi,
I was considering to go for the pro version, but to my surprise I found a conflict with another essential plugin we use. This plugin generates a pdf file which contains png images which are located in the uploads folder.
The pdf file does not show the png images and shows errors: “image not found or type unknown”.
As soon as I deactivate iThemes Security, the png images will show properly in a new pdf.
I have entered .png and .pdf in the list of “ignore file types”, but that does not help.
We like iThemes Security but cannot purchase it with this problem.

Can you please be of help?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

What is the other plugin you are using that Security is conflicting with?

    Thanks,

    Hi Sir,

The plugin is called PDFer (PDF for tickets) and is sold with a license by EventON. It is part of their event ticket selling suite which we use for our dance events.

    Hi,

Will you please try disabling the following features to see if it helps?

    Hackrepair Blacklist Feature (Banned Users)

Filter Long URL Strings (System Tweaks)

Filter Suspicious Query Strings in the URL (System Tweaks)

    Filter Non-English Characters (System Tweaks)

You may also try enabling XML-RPC and allowing Full Access to the REST API.

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Hi sir,

I can say that it is definitely caused by the Hackrepair Blacklist Feature (Banned Users).
Turned off this feature and all works great. Back on and the problem is there again.

Of course we would prefer to use this feature, so is there anything that you can do to “repair” it?

    Thanks,
    D. Valck

    Hi,

Unfortunately, that is not something that can be edited. That being said, there are many features within Security Pro to assist in securing your site such as reCAPTCHA, 2 Factor Authentication.

    Thanks,

    Matt
