For uploading the file (which may be the easiest), if you have FTP access to your hosting (or a file manager), you can upload it to the root directory of the site (where you’ll see things like the wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes folders). If you’re not sure, you can always use the plugin wp file manager, and upload it through there.
Also, if you have Jetpack or Yoast SEO installed, you can use them to enter the verification strings.
Thank you for your response. However, I’m “challenged” when it comes to technical know-how. I don’t understand the first part of the response…Dk what FTP means and the rest of it. Could you please dumb-down further. I attempted to install the wp file manager but “the site was experiencing technical difficulties” and I was not successful. I don’t have jet pack installed and was advised against this. Thank you in advance!
