Hi @phil1710,
Thanks for your message.
This usually happens when another plugin is overriding BNFW in some way.
Are you using any member/membership plugins on your site?
I am using a bought template. Any idea what i need to change to priorize your plugin?
Hi @phil1710,
Hmm, you may need to ask the theme author this in case they know where/why they’re modifying this functionality.
i already wrote support team of the wordpress theme. I will reply in this topic when i received the answer.

Thanks @phil1710,
Will wait to hear from you.
i tried to fix it by my self. First of all i deleted all plugins which are not relevant for the theme. I found out the following:
1. i had issues by sending wordpress notifications
2. to fix this i installed WP Mail SMTP Plugin -> now notifications are going out
3. i installed your plugin again and setup template for user registration. -> no notification were send out.
What i got is a “Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender” to my email with some information inside. May i send this to you via PN?
4. i deleted user registration template in your plugin. Now the WP standard emails for new user registration is sending out. So there must be some issue by setting up an mail template in your plugin.
Bests
Philip
Hi @phil1710,
I haven’t found any issues of this in testing.
Are you able to use the Post SMTP plugin instead? This comes with an email log and provides a bit more information that WP Mail SMTP.
What i tested now is the following:
1. I installed WP SMTP plugin and did the setup with my email provider.
2. I installed Better Notifications plugin again and did the setup for user nofitication. in particular the registration email.
3. i used the “Test-Mail” function in your plugin and sended the email to my email account. This was working!
4. than i tried to use it on the website and still received the standard WP notification.
There must be some setting in the beackground which overrides the notification settings for front end users i guess.
Any idea what it could be and how to check?
Hi @phil1710,
Thanks again for testing.
Did you mean the Post SMTP plugin or are you still using the WP SMTP Mail plugin?
Are users registering via a front-end form on a page or is it via the standard WP registration form?
e.g. https://www.domain.com/wp-login.php?action=register
I am using WP Mail SMTP plugin.
Visitors are registering via front end form and will be diected to my-account page. When i delete Woocommerce plugin, than login is also not possible. so this registration/login form must be connected to woocommerce.
Hi @phil1710,
Ah, so there are some known issues with WooCommerce and BNFW. I would suggest using a different front-end form for user registrations/logins so that it can work with BNFW.
WooCommerce can then handle all your other eCommerce aspects as normal.
