This is probably a simple question, but it never hurts to ask.

If I disable all the settings that I did with this plugin and then deactivate it, will the website go back to the way it was? For example, any css unload setting will go back to “load” and the css will load like it used to.

I’m trying to trouble shoot a problem on a website that has occurred recently. I don’t think this plugin caused the problem, but I want to get the site back to where it was before I installed this plugin and selected some unload css options for the home page. I only tried settings for that page.

@lmoffen The website will go back the way it was even if you don’t disable any of the plugin settings. Once you deactivate the plugin, it will be like you never had it installed in the first place with a few differences:

    1) The latest cached CSS/JS files (in case you use minify/combine features) from /wp-content/cache/asset-cleanup/ will still be there in case references to those files are made from cached pages done by other plugins or the hosting company.

    2) The settings will still be preserved in the database (inactive records, of course), in case you reactivate the plugin later. Many users deactivate & activate the plugin back for debugging purposes. Plus, some upgrade to the Pro version and they have to delete the Lite version first.

    Thank you for the clarification!

I thought that was the case, but just wanted to check and I wasn’t able to find the answer.
