Killing the “Uncategorized” Default…

    yo –

    The “Uncategorized” category seems to be checked by default which leads many authors to forget to un-check it while they add another category.

    Is there a way to get rid of that category alltogether? Shouldn’t “uncategorized” only happen if nothing is checked?

    Hi,

    You can not remove that category but you can rename it and assign your desired posts.

    And I believe you can asign another category as default. But the default will only be checked if a post is saved without a category selected.
