Hi @brisargr,
At the moment we are working to include font icons on the next updates. For now you should use image icons.
And choose the options to hide the text like this screenshot.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
Does this require a different plug-in? I must admit I don’t see the same as your screenshot (no hover over or size options), but know as much about WordPress as I do brain surgery!
My experience is using direct HTML coding or Dreamweaver. I am trying to help a friend who has an existing site buy has sacked the employee that created them. I am finding WordPress both confusing and frustrating, so any help you can give should help my blood pressure!
Many thanks
Brian
No, it’s the same plugin. Let me take another screenshot with more context.
It’s normal that at the beginning there is always a learning curve but you will love WordPress.
Go to Appearance-> Menus where you can build the menu and assign it to a Menu location.
In the menu items you will find the options of the Menu Image plugin that will allow you to add images to the items.

Thanks Rui
I now realise that menu icon plug0n has not been tested with the latest version of Worpress (should read warning!).
Installed your menu image plugin which has been tested and all works perfectly.
Many thanks
Brian
