Post content disappears when using non-standard code in links

I’ve noticed that when I go back to edit posts to insert, say, Amazon or Netflix links with lots of non-validating character cruft in them, that my entire post content disappears.
Is there any fix for this?
Site is http://www.torontoscreenshots.com but I’ve removed all misbehaving links for now.
