    Hi,

the plugin has detected that your site uses an .htaccess file, therefore it recommends to enable the ‘301 .htaccess redirect’ option in the Settings->SSL->Settings tab. The .htaccess redirect is generally the fastest redirect option, therefore we recommend to enable it when possible. Your site will continue to work fine on SSL without the .htaccess redirect, the .htaccess redirect option is not required. We do recommend to enable it since it’s usually a bit faster than the WordPress 301 redirect.

Only one redirect option has to be enabled, we suggest to only use the Javascript redirect as a last resort. If either the 301 WordPress redirect or .htaccess redirect works we recommend to use either of those. If the .htaccess redirect doesn’t work for you, the WordPress 301 redirect is fine to use.
