    I can insert the slideshow using the classic wordpress editor just fine with full functionality, but publishing the page with the wordpress editor screws up the design I’ve set through Elementor. When I try to use the nextgen gallery in Elementor, it’s got very limited function and design, and it even breaks the page – causing me to revise.

    Edit: adding that when I’ve successfully input the gallery via wordpress editor and then move to elementor, the gallery is completely removed.

  • Hi @nickmclamb1,

    So first of all I need to mention that NextGen’s shortcode picker isn’t available or isn’t meant to work in Elementor or any other page builders ( we are looking for a fix to at least be able to insert it as a textual shortcode in Elementor’s “Text Module” in the next plugin’s update. )

    So for now the workflow will be:
    1) Insert the gallery module in Gutenberg ( the default WP editor )
    2) Customize the inserted gallery;
    3) Edit the module as HTML in order to copy its shortcode;
    4) Go to your page, edit it with Elementor, and paste the textual shortcode into a Text Module then save it and update the page.

    Can you please make sure that you are following the workflow from above?

    Thanks for replying. This doesn’t appear to be working. I copy/paste [ngg src=”galleries” ids=”3″ display=”basic_slideshow”] into a basic text module and it just shows up as text.

    Hi @nickmclamb1,

    Yesterday, we have launched a new plugin version that should allow using Elementor’s Text module to directly insert a gallery textual shortcode using the “Add Gallery” button from the editor.

    Hope this helps
