How do you get reminded to check the reminder? But seriously, how do pages get put on your site? Why do you need to review them? How do you determine what to review?
I’d just make a spreadsheet with a list of pages in column A and the last review date in column B and put a reminder on my phone to check that spreadsheet daily. The sheet would be sorted by columm B descending, column A ascending.
You can do that inside the site by clicking the page and post listings – which works fine – IF YOU REMEMBER.
Life is hectic, and I remember once or twice a year, and I would just like an automatic remind to review a few pages a day, so they all get updated over (say) a year.
If I remember to change the publication date, then that system works, as long as I get a reminder when I am in the site!!
Why? One of my sites is about funeral plans, a constantly changing market, and the other main one is about Probate, with all sorts of changes going on. I checked today and noted that some pages had not been changed for NINE years – far too long. You can always refresh and update the content as well as improving linking and SEO.
