The site is experiencing technical difficulties

I tried to update WP to 5.2.2 then after a few hours of waiting when I open my website it shows “The site is experiencing technical difficulties” I tried to search solution online, and I followed it like renaming the plugins and downloading the latest WP in WP website and uploading it on my file folder thru cPanel, but still I received same error message.

Have you tried changing your theme to https://wordpress.org/themes/twentynineteen/
Please try it as well.
If that is not the problem, so please try contacting your hosting provider.
Please try making a backup using a plugin like Duplicator before updating, so you might not have a problem if something happens.
Just to be clear: I am not judging you. Just really trying to help. 🙂

I have the same issue with one of my websites. The message it shows is “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
I have no way to log in and check about plugin, updates, PHP compatibility, etc., so I am a bit lost here.
Nothing in inbox either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I already upload the ZIP file of Twenty Nineteen in /wp-content/theme/ (see image – https://prnt.sc/o7g3gz )
What will I do next? How can I unzip the file?

Yikes!!! I fixed the problem. When I rename the theme folder in /wp-content/ I can log in to my website easytodoit.com/wp-admin/ then I go to appearance/themes before I click ADD NEW I return to cPanel and delete the folder of my current theme then I go back to my WordPress dashboard and click ADD NEW theme and it works 🙂
