I’ve been using the block editor from the beginning and love it. We just updated my theme (AVADA) and it now appears that the only time I can block edit is if I choose it in the Add New dropdown menu and stay in that mode. I can’t toggle back and forth anymore. Sometimes, I will switch to classic to do specific tasks but now, it won’t switch back. If I go into any previously published blog posts to make a revision, it shows up in the classic editor and I can’t switch to block. Block is my default editor, by the way. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Do you experience the same issue if you momentarily switched to the default Twenty Nineteen theme for testing?
