change main nav font

I’m trying to change my main navigation font on all pages. I used this css but it only changed the home page. I would like the changes made to site-wide top navigation.

.navigation-top a {
font-family: raleway;
font-weight: 300;
font-size: 18px;}

I also tried this but it also just changed the home page:

.main-navigation ul.menu li a {font-family: raleway;
font-weight: 300;
font-size: 18px;}
