XML Sitemap Error / WPML – Different Domain per Language

    Hi.

    I just installed your plugin as my last plugin for XML sitemaps didn’t support WPML fully. So a bit disappointed when I noticed that your plugin didn’t support my setup at all.
    I am using the feature in WPML to have totally different domain names for the languages I use. I have Swedish (SV) as main language and URL to sitemap is: https://www.armsportbutiken.se/sitemap.xml
    and working fine.
    Secondary language is English (EN) and URL to sitemap is: https://www.armsportstore.com/sitemap.xml
    and as you can see yourself, it doesn’t load at all. Your plugin throws an error.

    And I am guessing that it has to do with the totally different domain names, as you can see above. Can you please check and see if you could fix this? Would be much appreciated.

    I have the very same problem. Seems like this plugin isnt working.

    @ravanh Yeah, I had to revert to an old plugin, as it at least loads the sitemap for both domains, but there are other issues with that plugin. So if you could fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.

    @ravanh I have temporary activated your plugin again. Can you please check the links to my site:

    Default language (Swedish): https://www.armsportbutiken.se/sitemap.xml

    Secondary language (English): https://www.armsportstore.com/sitemap.xml

    As you notice, secondary domain/language is completely dead.

    If logged in I see this message: "Fel vid laddning av stilmallen: Ett okänt fel har uppstått (805303f4)https://www.armsportbutiken.se/wp-content/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/assets/styles/sitemap-index.xsl?ver=5.2.4"
    If not, I just see a blank page.

    @armbreaker again your post escaped me. Again I did not get a post notification (as I normally do for this forum) … somehow only your messages get filtered but I don’t know why/where. Checked the spam folder but that’s not it. Strange.

    Anyway, the message is because the xsl stylesheet is loaded from another domain than the xml file itself. XML being that strict about stuff like that, will block the stylesheet. This is no problem for the search engine spiders, as they do not read the stylesheet anyway. It is only there for us to make sense of the otherwise bare naked XML code.

    So you can safely switch back and even without the stylesheet, your english posts will get indexed.

    I’ll try to find a way to get the plugin to force-use the proper domain for its stylesheet in the upcoming version 🙂

    In fact, if you upgrade to the 5.2.6 release, you should be able to see your sitemap without problems. Please let me know!
