I have installed WordPress using the Godaddy hosting Connection.

From the beginning I had this problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to see if using WP without ANY plugins would solve the problem and it does not.

When I “Post” the data is sent to the database, but then I get a blank page with the exception of 2 words. “Cannot Connect” I then have to use a bookmark or retype the web address and go back to one of the other pages, since pressing reload returns the same result. My changes are made, but I want to open my blog to others and can’t if it won’t work.

I also get the message in the edit page in the little box for the regular autosave, each time the autosave cycles the box turns red and says “Cannot Connect”

I have searched here for Godaddy, Godaddy bugs, Cannot connect and have found no answers already handled.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Could be a number of things. It could be the .htaccess, if it’s a Linux account, a Windows account that needs corrected permissions, or could be the domain is not setup properly in the database. If you provide me with the domain name I can take a closer look.

I checked my email and folders and received no email. You can use “involved” at the above domain for a contact email.

Ok, I have located the problem… after so many days of my brain bleeding…lol

Apparently, I did not have a plug-properly configured/installed. I found out by doing yet another fresh install and then adding plugins one at a time. After each plugin, I would go and test the post function. When I installed “Really Static” I immediately got the cannot connect issue. I don’t want anyone to think I am blaming the plugin because I DID NOT have it configured properly. I just wanted to post my solution in case someone else has this problem because it was a tough problem to solve.

    Thanks for the help.
