Hey @artyus,
My apologies for the delayed response with this.
What error are you receiving?
App-based two-factor is time sensitive. Can you make sure your site/server time and device you’re using are in sync?
Thanks,
Gerroald

I was thinking about this option.
But both devices are synchronized automatically with the Internet time through one connection.
Used by Microsoft Authentificator.
After entering the 2FA Code message appears:
ERROR: A username and password must be provided. Lost your password?
(see image)
Access stopped immediately after connecting 2FA.
Hey @artyus,
Can you please check the browser console for any errors?

Can you also try disabling all browser extensions, and perhaps try a different browser?
Please let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Gerroald
Hey @artyus,
Please don’t miss my previous reply.
You can also try adding the two-factor token immediately after your password when first trying to log in.
Thanks,
Gerroald

Hi!
I can confirm that the problem occurs with the active expansion of the browser Avast Passwords (tested in Firefox and Google Chrome). At the same time, if the use a system of saving and inserting passwords that are available in these browsers themselves, there are no problems with logging in through 2FA.
It is very strange that the 6 digits which entered by the browser extension in the field are not accepted by your system (apparently, problems arise due to some additional information that gets in the form sent). In any case, Avast is one of the most popular antiviruses, really has nobody come across this conflict before?

Thank you for responding to my appeal and helping to determine what the problem was.
I think the info about presence of such conflicts with anti-virus system extensions should be a separate warning in the description of your 2FA function, so as not to cause unnecessary worries and wasting time by your users.
Good luck!
