• Resolved wordpressguy0101

    Hi,

I am not sure what the issue is with the above page, or what I need to do to resolve it, aside from manually changing code.

This is the first time/first page where I’ve seen this error.

    I tried:

    * Changing the AMP theme
    * Removing some of the ad code in some widgets that I though might be causing the problem.
    * Flushing in the permalinks, although I am not sure I did this correctly. I simply re-saved the existing permalink settings in the dashboard, but didn’t touch the code.

I am using v0.9.97.58 with the latest version of WP.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

In addition, I have also now received this error:

The author stylesheet specified in tag ‘style amp-custom’ is too long – the limit is 50000 bytes.

I have added the plugin manager and have begun disabling plugins that I think may be causing this, but up to now, no luck.

    ALSO, very annoying…

I have found that when I de-activate a plugin in the plugin manager, it deactivates it across the whole site!

    Seriously

My AMP pages have been fine for months, now every page I test is not valid. This only began a couple of days ago.

First of all, you should Turn on the “Minify” option from the Settings > Performance section.

Secondly, either you or the plugin has added a lot of CSS which starts .atkp class, see https://monosnap.com/file/BaUduFQwmuaSi9adW20bV3Sr11FIH7

Did you add that extra CSS?

    Thread Starter wordpressguy0101

    (@wordpressguy0101)

I did add that CSS, but it has not caused any issues until now. I’ll deactivate the minify option and re-test…

Plus, I have two other sites using the same CSS with AMP with no issues…

    Thread Starter wordpressguy0101

    (@wordpressguy0101)

The minify is already off under performance, but I’ll check the other plugins and disable there…

Minify is not active anywhere else, as the plugin manager has disabled my caching plugins across the whole site.

It is very bizarre, but I removed my CSS, saved, and re-added the same CSS and changed the theme to theme 1, and now my amp pages are coming up as valid? I have no idea what I did, but if it works, I’m happy.

You are exceeding the 50kb limit, your CSS is at 51kb so I was telling you to turn “ON” the minify as it would help you save it.

You need to Turn on the minify from the AMP Options from the performance section. That should solve it for you.
