Hey,
If you have copied the template into your theme then you are effectively overriding this plugin from being able to edit that email templates text. So if you need to copy the email template I suggest you make the edit inside the email template that you copied.
It’s worth noting that “Click here to reset your password” is static and doesn’t have an option to change. The editable text through this plugin is:
“Someone requested that the password be reset for the following account:
Username: {customer_username}
If this was a mistake, just ignore this email and nothing will happen.
To reset your password, visit the following address:”

Thanks Ben.
As I mentioned – I haven’t copied the template into my theme. So we can eliminate that as a cause.
We’ve recently migrated the website from our development to our staging environment on a different domain. I exported/imported the Kadence settings over, but is it possible that this is causing the issue?
Importing shouldn’t cause an issue, you can always edit and resave to make sure it’s correctly in the database though. When you edit the template in the customizer and does it show with the correct text?
Yup – editing in the customizer shows the correct text and also I am able to send myself a test email that works properly.
I tried making a small edit and resaving in the new environment – but no joy.
Earlier today I requested a password reset email and got the correct (customised) email – however the password reset link didn’t work. Then I tried requesting a second time and got the default template again … bizarre
Yeah not sure how that is possible, you are sure this is the woocommerce password reset email and not the wordpress one?
Can you check in your woocommerce settings that the email is set to send as html?
Ben
Pretty sure this is the WooCommerce email because it matches the wording that I can see in the php template file which I can preview inside of WooCommerce email settings.
And yeah I can confirm that it’s set to HTML in the WooCommerce settings.

Can you send me a screen shot of this?
Ben
Not sure how to attach images here so https://imgur.com/8V0aWPA
Hmm that is strange. I don’t know how to recreate your issue. I’ll keep testing on different severs.
