• I have a website that is basically a blog but it is not an “official” blog persay. I have never used any actual programs (i.e. wordpress, movable type) I just have always made my HTML in the same fashion. I would like to switch over and integrate Word Press into my website. I am pretty good with HTML but have not had experience with software like WP. I already have it installed through fantastico so that is not an issue. Here is my site…

    Is this possible?
I really appreciate any help you folks can give me. I am sure easy questions like this can be annoying.
    Thanks again!

  • I am not sure what you are asking, is what possible? Your page is basically a table layout but there is no reason why you couldn’t transfer the text to WP, however painstaking it my be. Hopefully someone else has “been there, done that” and can provide some helpful hints on how to best do it (assuming that is what you are asking).

Is there a base code that tells the webpage to interact with WP?
I am not getting any reponse my strings or tags I am putting into a test page.

Does your test page have the extension .php?
You have to put on the top of that page the lines from the top of the WP index page that call the blog header (the lines before it says don’t remove this!) – and if it’s necessary alter the path to the blog-header file…
