I currently have the plugin turned off (with my usual FB Comments tool turned on), though i can turn it on for troubleshooting if need be. I’ve included a linked page so you can see what my theme otherwise looks like.

What I’m looking for is simple. Every other facebook comments plugin I’ve ever tried had a basic, binary option in their settings, allowing for a “dark” or “light” theme for the plugin, depending on one’s needs. I came to experiment with this plugin because it somehow restores the correct targets to old facebook comments, prior to becoming SSL compliant. I tried it, saw that it works, and thus was otherwise sold as a solution, apart from the fact that I have a dark themed site, so the default settings are not good…and though you’ve added a variety of styling options that I’ve not seen offered with this tool before, the only way to get the text to be legible on my site is to pick a white background, which is just too jarring on my site.

I see that you allow for additional css. Do you guys have a straightforward bit of css that would give the plugin that standard, “dark” theme? If so, that would solve my main issue. Also, why is this not a default setting option, given that it is otherwise quite common to see?

    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi,

Sorry, I can’t understand what you want to say. Could you please clearly explain what you want to actually archive using this plugin?

Looking forward to helping you. Thanks!

    Hi

Got it. Please go to the plugin settings > Settings Tab and set color scheme to Dark and save changes.

My god. I was so confused…turns out I was actually using a different plugin, one that is branded very similarly to yours…which Is why this message may have seemed strange. Now that I realize your plugin exists, it solves all my problems!

I do have one question, though–in terms of customizing the shortcode, I tried adding the “url” code to target a specific page, but it did not work. How is the code for that supposed to appear in the shortcode? I thought I knew, but since it did not work, I must be missing something.

    Thank you for your help!
