    K. I click import and it takes me to the page where I “authorize” then tells me it will be brought back to that page once I do. I then get taken to my google login page, login and find myself at the “my account” page of google.

    But then what?

Under security my URL appears. Yet I don’t think anything is happening.

I’m completely lost. Is it dowloading somewhere I just can’t see or find.
HELP. I have some great blogs that already exist on my blogspot, but wanted to make my own URL and use wordpress.

  • Hi,

    Check with these steps:

    1) Login to your blog’s dashboard, using this URL:http://abc.wordpress.com/wp-login.php
    2) Now click on Manage label.
    3) Now go to Import.
    4) Select the blogger from where you want to import the posts.
    5) Click on Authorize and enter your Google account and password.
    6) Click on Grant Access.
    7) Now you are all set to import your posts from blogger to wordpress blog.

Also check 766 recursive permissions for wp-contents folder on your blog

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

    Hi Shane,

First thank you. This may be all way above my head. But, when I do all that you say to do nothing happens. I don’t see the blogs anywhere. I get the MY ACCOUNT page on Google and then nothing (after I click to authorize etc.). is there another step?

How/where do I check the 766 recursive permissions for wp-contents folder?

My blog is hosted at my own url , btw. I also have no idea what a 766 recursive is.. LOL. Boy.. am I in trouble?? I hope to learn this and get this down for I have other projects i want to use WordPress for.

    Thanks again for your help.
