    How can I make the BBP forum fit the default page size with sidebar on the right as opposed to being full width?

    That might be quite complicated. This issue doesn’t relate only with the CSS for bbPress but also CSS for your theme.
    Themes have commonly @media screen and (min:width…
    That cause different right and left margins and widths for the main content area but also for the main header of the page.
    I failed to get optimal values and it might be difficult also in your case. You should carefully look at the CSS of your theme and bbPress.
