Questions about custom fields

    Hi:

    First of all, wonderful plugin! beats easily all the other that I have tried. However, I’m struggling a bit with custom fields:

    1 – I want to capture several extra fields, but don’t want to show them in results nor single listings, that is, fields that can only be seen by the owner of the listing and the admin of the site. Can it be done?

    2 – Is there a way to reorder the custom fields?

    3 – Is there a way to group custom fields? if no, then it’s a feature suggestion. 😀

    4 – It’s already been mentioned in another support thread, but a field to upload a PDF is badly needed.

    1 – Its not possible with the current version of Directorist. But, can be developed. 🙂 You may contact us at contact@aazztech.com.

    2 – Yes, you probably haven’t noticed that they are dragable. So, just drag and drop to reorder them.

    3 – Thanks for your suggestion. But, the suggestion is not clear to us. Will you please elaborate?

    4 – We would like to include the feature in the next update. We have a plan to release another update very soon.

    Thanks for answering:

    1. Ouch. Perhaps some hook that I could use? I don’t mind coding…if you can point me to a particular file and give some hints I’ll find my way.

    2. Didn’t notice that. Thanks.

    3. Right now, when you add a new listing there are three groups: General Information, Contact Information, and Images and Video. I would like to create additional groups and assign fields to them. Right now (unless I’m doing something wrong) custom fields show up in the General Information group, so it’s kind of confusing when there are several custom fields.
