Email change request pending on wordpress.org

    I am trying to change the email address for my wordpress.org account. I see a similar issue in previous forum posts but have not seen a solution.

    I’ve tried the following steps twice but the change has not occurred yet:
    (1) Logged in to wordpress.org under the Support menu.
    (2) Clicked on link to Edit Forum Profile.
    (3) Changed the Email field in the Account section to a new email address and clicked on the Update Profile button.
    (4) Received email to the new email address with a link to “…confirm this change”. I clicked on the link which took me to the https://wordpress.org/support/users/jcornell page and did not display any message saying the change had taken place or not.
    (5) I tried logging in using the new email address and it did not work and the old email address still works. When I go back to Edit Forum Profile page, I see a message “There is a pending email address change to ” with the new email address.

    What do I need to do to get this pending email address completed?
