Elementor edit page doesn’t load

    Hi there!

    I’ve been doing some maintenace on my website and I just realised that this pluguin is causing Elementor to freeze while loading the page I want to edit with elementor.

    It shows the Enable Safe Mode window.

    After deactivating all pluguins it turns that Polylang Connect for Elementor is causing the issue.

    Anyway I can help?

    Hi @bernatob

    Sorry to hear about this.

    Could you give us a full list of plugins and your system spec?

    You can find it under elementor tools if I am not mistaken.

    Do you have the duplicate post plugin installed by any chance?

    I have not that pluguin. What for? Duplicate the page that has the issue?

    Thanks for your feedback and the Elementor Debug log.
    We asked specifically for the “Duplicate Posts” plugin as this can cause certain meta data that Elementor (Pro) needs not being copied and causing conflicts in regards to Polylang/Elementor.

    Do the template which have loading issues for Elementor contain LOTS of widgets?
    And/or are more than one instance of Elementor Pro’s Post Widget among them?

    Since you seem not have a current known conflicting plugin we have only the advise to use a “workaround”:
    Let our “Polylang Connect for Elementor” plugin deactivated, edit the various templates with our recommended workflow and settings and once you are ready activate the plugin again and the templates will render correctly on the frontend. Repeat if needed.

    We really don’t know what is causing this loading conflict you are experiencing. We only have some users reporting and experiencing it. We have tested numerous times ourselves and also with users who gave us access to their installs. We cannot find a cause yet. We are using code snippet we got from Elementor to have the language meta key added to the templates – that is all what the “connect feature” does.

    Hope that helps for the moment.

    I got the same problem today.

    I just got my first Polylang homepages in English and Finnish ready and I was starting to test the switching between the pages with Language switcher. Bug then I no more got to edit the pages and the pages stopped showing alltogether until I deactivated Polylang and
    Polylang Connect for Elementor.

    It is night and almost he morning and my webpages are totally down.

    My whole page structure was build on two languages. There are not many pages but now I have both Finnish and English pages in the menu that is way too big.

    I had earlier manually and separately created Finnish and English pages. This problem today occurred after I started formally creating a Finnish translation of the English page that I had just defined as the new home page.

    I switched Polylan on (activated). Menu items found their own languages but the homepages in two languages stop showing.

    404: Page Not Found if I go there with a browser.

    If I try to edit comes “The preview could not be loaded”.

    The activation of Polylang adds /fi/ to the URL of the Finnish homepage and /en/ to the URL of the English homepage but it does not change URL from the other pages whose languages it recognizes.

    I have the exact same problem.
    I create a new page with Elementor, set the language and link to the original language page.
    Then impossible to load the Edit page with Elementor if “Polylang Connect for Elementor” is activated.

    Any idea ?
