Moving existing website / url to wordpress

    Hi, I’m a total newbie. I have an existing html website and url, and would like to move it to wordpress. How do I handle the transition? Can I download the software and build the site, then upload it to the internet when it’s done?

    You can install WordPress locally. Check out this article.

    Alternatively, you can install it in another folder on your site and just move WordPress on your site when you’re ready to go. That’s covered in this article.
