Posts not saving with Subcategories

    Hi there,

    Here is the situation, for some reason, when I try to save a post under a sub-category it redirects to Uncategorized for some reason. However, when I save it to the parent category there are no issues.

    Here is my current permalink:
    http://staging.cancerwellness.com/%category%/%postname%

    Is there something that I need to do within the .htaccess file?

    Hi Kevin,

    I doubt this would be a .htaccess configuration issue, so I would steer clear of adjusting that file. Take a look at this post which could be helpful for you. There’s a section about sub-categories that are not tied to a parent that may be relevant to the issue you’re experiencing:

    If you choose to file a post under the child category but not under the parent category, then your post will appear only on the archive pages of child category.
