Hi,
In the last couple of weeks my readers have been unable to comment on my blog posts. There has never been an issue in the past.
I have it set up so you can comment via logging in to WP or via an email address.
Those logging in via WP say they are received a ‘locked out’ notice from wordpress.
On occasions I am receiving an email stating ‘a lockdown event has occurred due to too many failed login attempts or invalid username’.
Those logging in via email address read: Error, there is no account with this email address.
(they have assured me there is.)
I can’t understand what’s happened?
I’m self hosted and use the Novablog child theme. I’ve ensured all my plugins and updates are up to date.
The only plugin I have installed in recent months was mailchimp.
I’d appreciate ANY help and advice please!
