I tried to make a local copy of my website. The following error message appears in my local version due to a problem with the Passster plugin. The online website is OK.

Warning: require_once(…\wp-content\plugins\content-protector\inc\freemius\includes/supplements/fs-essential-functions-2.2.1.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in …\wp-content\plugins\content-protector\inc\freemius\includes\fs-essential-functions.php on line 39

Which PHP version are you using no your local machine?

    That’s PHP version 7.0.10.

Ok, so I guess, you’re not running on WordPress 5?
Do you have woocommerce installed? If so, try deactivating it.

My wordpress version is the latest. I disabled the Gutenberg editor with a plugin. I think it is called Classic editor plugin.

    Woocommerce is not installed.

I cannot login into the local version because of the above error message. The page wp-admin.php is not even rendered.

    Hey @ron5,

have you tried to download the plugin again and install it?
Seems like you miss a file from the repository.

You are not running a windows server locally, right?
The file pathes looks a bit weird.

btw: @kamazine I really appreciate your help!

    Best regards,
    Patrick

I run my local copy on wampserver. I have upgraded PHP in wampserver to version 7.2.18. The message from the Passter plugin disappeared, but I have now a similar message from another plugin: the post snippets plugin. This plugin also works with freemius.

Freemius seems to be poor quality software.
