Child-Themes are not available yet. Only themes based on custom style.css-files are possible at the moment. As soon as this feature becomes available, it will be mentioned inside of the update-changelog.
Regarding the “Solved”-marking: I usually mark tickets – to which I replied – as solved after a while. This is not to “polish” the statistics, instead it helps me to keep track about tickets which have no answer yet. As promised your feature-suggestion is on my todo-list but it will take a while until it finds its way into the plugin because a lot of changes are required for it to work. 🙂

Ok, it’s still working fine for the site. I just go to keep my current version. I can wait when is ready, that way I can do it all at once later on..
