Remove Category description from category page

    Hi, I’m new to wordpress, and I hope this is an easy fix…

    I’ve added

    <?php
    the_archive_description( ‘<div class=”taxonomy-description”>’, ‘</div>’ );
    ?>

    to my category.php page so I have a description where I want it. Now I need to remove the existing description because it shows up overtop on the main image and it’s not legible there. I can’t find the code to remove it on the category.php page. Where would it be?

    Also, ideally, I’d be able to have a unique photo for each category… but maybe that’s asking too much!

    If anyone knows how to do that, please tell me! THanks a bunch!
