Error after Apply

    Hello,

    Love your plugin! I have it mainly set up, and everything appears to be working correctly, except for one thing.

    After filling out the Apply form and clicking “Send Application”, I see the wheel turning, and then the word “ERROR” appears in red.

    I can’t figure out what’s causing the error. We have a regular contact form elsewhere on the website that sends fine. I even installed an SMTP plugin and tried it that way, but get the error every time.

    It does log the applicants on wordpress just fine. Just seems to not give the “successful application” message, or send any of the confirmation emails.

    The website is currently behind an “under construction” page, but I can send you admin access to your email if you let me know what it is.

    I should also point out that the company uses Microsoft 365 for email, so I’m not sure if that would have something to do with the error. I figured the SMTP workaround might solve that if indeed the case, but no luck.

    A bit of an update. It is in fact sending the applications to the company email address now – they’re simply ending up in the junk folder.

    However, after submitting an application, I’m still getting the red “error” message, and there doesn’t appear to be any notification sent to the applying person’s email. Any idea why that’s happening?

    After updating, the message changed from “error” to “error sending message”.

    theres an error message you have in admin:

    Mailer: Other SMTP
PHPMailer was able to connect to SMTP server but failed while trying to send an email.

    Most probably thats why plugin cant send email, is it simply not sending for you. Could you please fix this first and check if form sending mails than. If not, I will look in to the issue further.

    If all works after you fix SMTP issue, you can delete my account

    Hi,

    I am having the exact same problem – my normal contact form works, I use an SMTP plugin. But still I dont’t any e-mail from your plugin when a canditure is submitted. But it is well stored when I check it in the WP backend.

    Do you have any idea on what to do?

    This notice is what I find in the back end.

    EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v1.4.2 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    Mailer: Other SMTP
    PHPMailer was able to connect to SMTP server but failed while trying to send an email.
    Consider running an email test after fixing it.

    Don’t know how I can fix the issue.

    I am also experiencing a send error. I have 2 other regular contact forms that function fine, but for some reason this not sending an email. The information is received, but the email does not send. Help.

    I am using the most recent, updated, version of the plugin.
