    Hi,

I’m trying to create a new order from the admin section which has one of the products with negative quantity (and value). I want to use this way of work for product exchanges. So I have to add a product with negative quantity, then a product with positive quantity. The total has to be 0. I need this because we are using a billing app connected with woocomerce.

The thing is I’ve noticed that when I have a product in my order which has negative qty, I can’t save the order, I can’t do nothing.

Does anyone has a solution for that?

    Thank you!

It’s not possible to save a negative quantity order.

For an exchange, you can do the following:

    – Find the original order, and change the status to On Hold
    – Then, click Refund, and edit the price field to $0
    – Click Manual Refund to avoid the payment processor
    – You can now click Add item to enter the exchanged product
    – Change the order status back to Completed, this can trigger an updated email to customer.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
