autoblogged author issue

Can anyone shed some light on my situation? I have autoblogged installed, configured for feeds, but can’t seem to get the author setting to work. I’d prefer to pull the author’s name from the feeds and have that be the posting persons name shown(for attribution and variety), but try as I might(editing the functions with the menu for author), it always ends up showing my nickname as “posted by”.

I assume this is looking awfully fishy to search engines, but the
“Set author for new posts: (use author from feed)”
“If using author from feed and that author doesn’t
exist in blog: (create new user)” choices more times than not doesn’t work.
Frustrating, as I might find a few unnamed posts rather than an author or new author created and attached to the post as I expected. I’m ready to remove this plugin.
