    Hello,
I never use the social logins because I don’t want to waste time to social networks. But many creatures want and like them.
So I want to understand of how such social login/registration works with your Premium Social Extension…
    1) What a real profit of registering via social networks? What advantages is it give to users and to site owners compared to a standard email registration?
    2) Is there any different between LOGIN and REGISTER via social networks?
    3) If user REGISTER with social network – what exactly info will add to my own web-site database? Nick, Name, Last Name, Email, Country, City, what else??? Most important of course is Email to have possibility to make an email subscription for all users that was registered by Email AND by Social Networks! So, what user info will get my site with users registration via social networks??
    4) After registering via social network user will get the same personal profile PG page with possibility to edit whole info? Or some info will be linked to social network so will be restricted for editing?
    5) Any other nuances?
    Please, clarify!

    Hello Justdude,

Thank you for writing to us.

The ProfileGrid extension “Social Login” allows your users to sign up and login using their favourite social network accounts. Social accounts can be managed from Profile settings. For more details on the extension, please visit this link: https://profilegrid.co/how-allow-wordpress-users-to-login-with-social-accounts/

For your other questions, please see our comments below in the same order:

    1) The primary benefit is that the entire process of filling up a registration form carefully shortens down to a mere single click. Thus, user registrations become faster, and you can be sure the registering users are authentic since they use their already active social accounts for registration.

    2) Registration using social account allows only to register on site. But the user cannot login to your site until his/her account is active. And activation/deactivation of user account depends on ProfileGrid configuration settings.

    3) ProfileGrid will import all necessary information for its own user registration process. Such as First Name, Last Name and Email. It will also import the Profile Image. This import will happen automatically from the chosen social network upon user registration.

    4) After registering via a social network, user can edit the complete information on personal profile page. Import is a one time process; not a consistent link to a social network.

    5) Do check out the extension’s details on the extension page here: https://profilegrid.co/extensions/social-login/

Let us know if you need any further assistance.
